It starts early. We will pick you up from your hotel in Marsa Alam at 3:00 am. The journey takes us via Safaga city, to Luxor and from there on to Aswan. Unfortunately, since the direct road from Marsa Alam to Aswan is closed, we cannot use it as a shortcut.
Aswan: the fourth largest city in Upper Egypt awaits you with one of the most beautiful and best-preserved temple complexes in Egypt - the Philae Temple. You will visit this beautiful “Pearl of Egypt” with us on the island of Anglica. We then continue to the Aswan Dam, which is located 13 km south of Aswan and dams the water of the Nile to Lake Nasser.
After the sightseeing, you will have lunch and a visit to the most famous Nubian village, Gharb Sehel. The Nubian Village is an experience that no one should miss. The street through Gharb Sehel is like a bazaar, here you can visit traditional Nubian houses, admire Nubian handicrafts and drink Egyptian tea.
At sunset you will take a small boat trip on the Nile before we take you to your 4-star hotel after an eventful day. You can end the evening individually.
Today also starts early. We will pick you up from your hotel at 04:00 and drive you to Abu Simbel Temple. This temple was built under the reign of Ramses II and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1979.
After visiting the temple, we continue to the unfinished obelisk. The obelisk still puzzles archaeologists today. If it were completed, it would be by far the largest obelisk of antiquity, weighing more than 1000 tons and being 42m long. After a tour of the open-air museum, have lunch.
You will then continue to Luxor, where you will arrive at your 4-star hotel on the west bank around 6 p.m. Dinner at the hotel.
Today there is a very special highlight on the program. Getting up early will be worth it! We will pick you up from your hotel at 4:30am for a one-hour hot air balloon ride over Luxor. Marvel at the most beautiful open-air museum in the world from the air and enjoy the sunrise over the Egyptian desert. We will then take you back to the hotel, where you can look forward to a delicious breakfast.
After breakfast we will drive with you to the famous Valley of the Kings, where there are 64 tombs of the pharaohs of the New Kingdom. We then continue to the mortuary temple of Hatshepsut, the best-preserved temple in western Thebes. The unique construction is a truly breathtaking sight. Before you go to lunch, you will make a short stop at the two well-known colossal statues - the Colossi of Memnon.
After lunch, you will take a boat trip on the Nile for about an hour. Once on the eastern bank of the Nile, visit the Karnak Temple. Along with the pyramids of Giza, this temple complex is the highlight of every trip to Egypt and the destination of millions of visitors every year. Walk through the Aries Sphinx Avenue and admire the white chapel of King Sesostris I - this chapel is dedicated to the god Amun-Re. The highlight of this impressive temple complex is the large pillared hall with the obelisk of Hatshepsut in the background. This pillared hall extends over 5,400 square meters. Here you can marvel at 16 rows of columns with a total of 134 papyrus columns made of sandstone. At around 2 p.m. you will begin the journey back to Marsa Alam, where you will arrive back at your hotel in the evening.
