We will pick you from your hotel early in the morning and take you to Hurghada Airport, from where you will take your flight to Cairo (flight time approx. 1 hour). In Cairo, your tour guide will meet you in front of the terminal. Our full-day tour begins with a visit to Saqqara, located approximately 30 km southwest of Cairo. There you will visit the Step Pyramid, built for King Zoser and is an important milestone in the development of pyramids. Then we continue our journey to Dahshur, which is about 10 kilometers south of Saqqara. King Snefru built two large pyramids here - the Bent Pyramid and the Red Pyramid. The pyramids of Dahshur were very important to the Egyptians as they illustrate the transition from step pyramids to smooth-sided pyramids. After a refreshment break, a typical Egyptian lunch awaits you where you can relax. Afterwards, admire the Great Pyramids of Giza – Cheops, Chephren and Menkaure. Next, explore the Valley Temple, which was the site where the priests mummified the body of King Chephren. You'll also have the opportunity to see the famous Sphinx up close - the legendary guardian with the head of a king and the body of a lion. Afterwards you will be transferred to your hotel near the pyramids. where the priests mummified the body of King Chephren. You'll have the opportunity to admire the treasures from Tutankhamun's tomb, including the golden death mask, golden throne, golden coffins, and more. For lunch we visit a nice restaurant on the banks of the Nile. We then drive to the Coptic Quarter, where we visit the Al-Mu'allaqa (Hanging Church), built on the portal of the Babylon Fortress. Inside the church you will find a carved wooden iconostasis with many beautiful ancient icons, including depictions of Revelation, the Holy Nativity of Jesus, John the Baptist, as well as icons of angels and the Twelve Apostles. We continue our journey to the Khan El Khalili bazaar. This district is known for trading fine brassware, copperware, leather goods, silver jewelry, gold and much more. Enjoy a walk on the old El Moez Street, an open-air museum with many historic buildings from the early Islamic period. At the end of the second day, you will be transferred to Cairo Airport for your return flight to Hurghada.
